Commerce and Industry News Issue 1 - Editorial

A few months ago we sat down together with the intention of giving some serious thought to ways in which we could offer something new and different to our clients. The end result is a quarterly publication which we hope will be of interest to those providing legal advice in commerce and industry in the North.
Of particular note is the interview with Ellie Doohan, Head of Legal and Company Secretary of ASDA. These interviews are set to become a regular feature along with the our ‘Movers and Shakers' section as well as and an article on a contemporary legal topic relevant to in-house counsel. Please also feel free to explore our ‘News and Events' section which will keep you updated with any up and coming events for the next quarter.
As this is the first edition, it is clear that it cannot cover everything. However, our intention is to grow and develop this further, so that it becomes more than simply a regular circular. Therefore, should our readers have any helpful thoughts or comments, we would warmly encourage them to write in with their views.
That leaves me to say thank you to everyone who helped me in putting this first edition together. I hope you enjoy it.
